I was born into a family of girls. We are six and I am the fourth girl.My parents couldn't give me us a brother, it sounds funny but we don't really know how it feels to have a brother around us. My mother has been taking care of me and my sisters. When I finished school, I got a job at a hotel and I was assigned to their water production. That was were I was working to take care of myself. Now the hotel is sponsoring me through teacher training and I will be completing this year.
I am about to start a business with a friend. We want to modernize the way coconut water is sold on the streets. There is opportunity in Ghana, the problem is how to acquire financial resources to start a business and watch it grow. The cost of securing loan from banks are high. I have not given birth yet. I like watching movies.
The business will be into buying of coconut fruit and selling of the water and the fruit to clients. I and a friend made a research about the coconut sellers and we want to modernize the way its been sold to the clients. For a start our cost will be to acquire a cart, fresh coconuts, disposable cups, ice cubes and labor cost. The revenue will be generated from the sale of coconut water and fruit. For the few years the profit will be reinvested into the business so that we can expand our share of the market.
Currently I work at the hotel that sponsored me through school, during vacations and they have been provide me with some token, so part of the amount I am taking home will be used in paying off the loan.
I will use this loan to purchase fresh coconut from the farmers and sell them to my consumers.Below are the details of the expenses.
Coconut $300.00
Cups and lids $20.00
Adverts $90.00
