I am a Ghanaian traditional woman born on the 15 day of April, 1988. i hail from a cottage and very hospitable cottage in the southern Ghana in the Tano South District called Mabang. The predominant occupation of the inhabitants is farming and trading. I am a designer. I show much of my design in locally made cloths. I have two kids now who are all scholling but it is unfortunate their father is not around to support them financially.
As one of the most outstanding designers in town, I design clothing for wedding, birth day parties, Funerals and several occasions which attracts peoples of different walks of life. I do all this using our locally produce cloths and other items. I am found of projecting the good value of our culture and ourselves., hence, entering into this business.
As an African Ghanaian traditional woman who is dent of promoting and projecting the image of Ghanaian culture and values, i always take the delight of making traditional products available to the local or indigenous dwellers.The cost of the materials are exorbitant and because i am not financially sound, i cannot produce in bulk. Am pleading with zidisha to support me financially to produce in commercial quantities to the market to get more profit.It is my intention to use percentage of profit to school my wards to become useful citizen in the future. The detail price are as follows:
kente clothe( locally made clothe)= $150
cost of beads( locally made from clay)=$60
transportation=$50
