My name is Brefo Victoria from Suame, a suburb in Kumasi - the Ashanti Regional capital. My parents have seven children, four boys and three girls. I am second born and the senior of the girls. My father is a motor mechanic at Suame-Magazine and my mother is a trader. I have been going to the market with my mom to sell anytime am free so am very much abreast with what happens in the buying and selling space. I attended St. Louis R/C preparatory school where i passed out with very outstanding result and entered the Senior High School. After completing my Senior High School education, i decided to do business because i wanted to find something doing to support my parents so that they can take care of my educational needs and that of my siblings. My parents welcomed my idea and got me some starting capital to commence the business. My mother guided and mentored me during the initial stages and because she was into buying and selling herself she źadviced and inculcated in me the spirit of saving. This business has helped me and my family as a whole because I got to the university with the help of the revenue that i got from it. I have sponsored other siblings of mine also in many occasions from proceed from the business. I want my kids to have the best form of education so that they could become the next generation of professionals to help Ghana and the world advance and be a better place for everyone.
Investing in people's education so that they will in turn bring the knowledge to bear and advance the country should be the prime aim of every nation but in African, the story is totally different as we the students pay colossal sums of money as tuition, a challenge that keeps thousands out of the educational race.
I sell ladies footwears to my colleagues students and all people in my school and to those around my residential area. The people are in constant demand for my goods and
services and the rate i generate is very good and fast. I chose to do this kind of business because the profit is very good and forthcoming. It is not difficult to start this business because one does not need to start with a big capital.
To overcome all the daunting challenges as a student and remain as the most intelligent girl among my peers, the payment of tuition should be honoured to avoid any unexpected sack from examination center and this business has solved my problem in this regard because i get more revenue to take care of my school finances.
I will use the loan to procure more footwears to resell and generate enough revenue to cater and push myself higher on the educational ladder. The loan when granted will afford me the opportunity to get more goods to resell so that more revenue could be generated to expand the business so that i can pay off my tuition fees easily. I need about 320 dollars to realised this dreams. Thank you.
