About Me

My name is Carren Chepkemoi from Sitoito villlage in Molo division of Nakuru county. I am 34 years old, married and blessed with three kids- One girl and two boys.
I studied a certificate course in Food science but have never been employed.
So i currently spend most of my time doing farming- Which is a source of food and income for the family.
I spend my free time watching TV and visiting friends

My Business

I am currently a full time farmer- specializing in Soya beans. I chose Soya because the crop is very nutritious for home use while the competition in the market is also low.
I also do small scale value addition to produce soya milk and soya beverages- which fetch good prices.
I plant twice in a year- February/March and July/August when we experience long rains.

Loan Proposal

The long rains are yet to set in and I am planning to plant Soya beans. I am still selling the previous harvest but has been hard to save for bulk purchase of fertilizer and seeds.
I am therefore planning to use the $100 loan to purchase certified seeds and fertilizer for early planting.
The sales from the previous harvest will enable me service the loan with ease.

    Carren,

Six months have passed since your promise, but no repayments. Please show that our faith in you was justified.

    Hello lenders,
Thank you for the patience and support. The prolonged draught affected our planting schedule yet we had bought the seeds and fertilizer. We recently received the rains have now planted.
I will be able to sell vegetables soon and things will be better

    Thanks.

    Hello lenders
    I hope everybody is alright.
Thank you for the support you gave me through loan. I bought the seeds and fertilizer and I am yet to plant. Right now my sales have been low and would like to reduce the size of installment for a shortwhile.
    Thank you.
