About Me

My name is Charles Henry Githinji. I am 30 years old- married and blessed with one son. I am the first born in a family of four. I reside with my family at Mbuni estate in the outskirts of Nyahururu town.
Due to financial challenges, I did not study much but have developed skills in farming over the years and now it is my passion.
My hobbies are watching sports, reading inspirational stories and listening to music.

My Business

I am a full time farmer and we have a family land at Nyahuru where we cultivate mostly vegetables especially tomatoes, kales and cabbages. It is our major source of income and food for the family. We sell them both on wholesale and retail. The main customers are the grocery owners in town and the neighboring villages.
I try to maintain the cycle to keep the customer demands throughout the year.
Farming is currently my livelihood and i want to grow into it.

Loan Proposal

It is the onset of rains here and thus the time to plant. The dry season was long and I could not risk developing my own seedlings since i do not have irrigation infrastructure. Therefore I am planning to purchase ready seedlings of both cabbages and kales for planting as soon as possible.
So given the loan, I will use it all on purchasing fertilizer and seedlings for planting soon.
Timely planting will ensure that the vegetables do well due to ongoing rains.
The current harvest will enable me service the loan with ease.
Thank you.

    Charles,

Take care of your health, and keep us posted on when you believe you can repay with the normal amounts.

Were the seedlings successful, or did you have problems raising the plants?

    Damon

    Hello lenders,
I am very sorry for the delay in repayments and by not posting you in time.
I am diabetic and I have not been well. I am now getting better and would like to resume payments this week. I would also like to reduce the size of the installment for a few weeks.
    Thank you

      I hope you're feeling better now. :)
My husband also is diabetic and has seen a lot of improvement by sticking to a (mostly) whole-foods vegan diet (supplemented by liquid methylcobalamin B12, of course), by avoiding sweets (including natural sweets; important to limit the amount of fruit and to focus much more on vegetables, legumes, seeds, nuts, and herbs), by eating at regular intervals, by exercising (he plays vigorous ninety-minute soccer games once or twice a week, does yardwork, etc.), and by making sure to get at least eight hours of sleep most nights.

I'm not a medical professional, so this is not meant to replace professional medical advice - just sharing what has worked well for my husband, in case it could work well for you, too. :)

Btw, am following you to help, if I'm able to, the next time you post a loan request.

My symptoms only come once in a while in a cycle that I am yet to understand.

          You're welcome. :)

Sleep, diet, and exercise all affect the body's ability to regulate blood-glucose levels, which in turn affects body weight, cardiovascular health, etc. Again, see my disclaimer above. ;)

These articles may help shed some light on why you experience symptoms at particular times (maybe not sleeping enough, maybe not eating closely enough to a vegan diet, maybe not exercising enough or maybe exercising too much, any of which can cause blood-glucose problems). Best wishes. :)
