I am Everlyne Kisilu.Born in Machakos.I was raised by my grandmother together with my siblings.I went through primary school that is from class one to eight in a school in our village. After completing primary school I passed and qualified to go to secondary school but school fees was a challenge. My grandmother organized a fundraiser which enabled me to join high school.I completed my Form four and now I was out tarmaking for a job.I secured a job with a company at Nairobi where i managed to pay computer studies for myself and also a diploma in marketing. It has been a tough journey but through God I have managed.
I am currently employed by NMG.It has really helped me pay my school fees and the school fees for my siblings. Also with the help of Zidisha I have also managed to get school fees from them.Recently I got a loan which helped me in opening a small cafe for fast foods like chips and i can get at least ksh1000 per day as profit. What prompted me to open a cafe is the demand I saw people like chips according to my observation.
When given the loan i will add and pay my school fees.School fees has been a challenge to me even forcing me sometimes to learn for some semesters.I also have my sister who is completing her secondary this year and i also support her.My grandmother who brought me up also relies on me for living.
My school fees for this semester is £700.
