my names are Solomon wainaina i was born and raised in kamirithu a village in limuru town kiambu county in central province,am part of a family of six ,i joined kanunga high school but couldn't further my education because my dad was not financially unstable and my mother is jobless,after high school i began cooking mandazis and sell to shops around a year after the business collapsed then i joined Sarakasi dancers because i was good in dancing this is where i learned to draw and artistic paintings, i dint have cash to start a business so i had to work in construction sites as an assistant basically to mix sand and cement carry stones and and all labor works just to raise cash to buy a spray gun ,after some months of saving i managed to buy a spray gun and did my first painting of a supermarket billboard at limuru clean shelf supermarket ,this job made people to know me and from there i have been getting jobs in limuru and outside to write billboards posters and graphic paintings,i would wish to support my brother to go to school after high school so he should not go through hardship like me,i love painting drawing and hanging with friends.
my job is graphics and paintings services .
i do wall paintings drawing posters design banners,wall decorations and house decorations and painting of interior walls am a artist.
WHAT I DO
i paint a wall with graphics effect at 25 us d 10 by 10 feet wall
write posters at 20 us d and write names and billboards.
design banners and do the printing at a friends shop because i don't have a printer.
EXPENSES
my expenses are a set of brushes and a spray gun which cost 20$ in total,
i make a profit of 150$ to 200$ a month
i use my profits to pay school fees 100$ per month as i am enrolled for a graphics design course in multimedia university .
MY VISION
i aim to get more jobs in contract especially house painting which will boost me to open a small office and register my business,this will enable me get big contracts in government institutions and Cd f projects.
