My name is Ann Afriyie. I am a young strong woman. I did not really have much of formal education but life have been fair in certain ways. i was raised by my mother alone since i did not have much time to spend with my dad due to his early demise. so me and my brothers and my little sister did have a lot of hard time growing up with mom alone.
I was able to complete my junior high school successfully and i decided i was not going to further it for reasons of financial constraints.
So i took up apprenticeship as a hair dresser and later graduated. it has been good since with business as a hair dresser and all that. so i opened my shop and started working which has proven to be great too. I am therefore so determined to do my best, to expand my hairdressing business and contribute to the development of my community.
I own a very small Salon or Hairdressing business in Akim Oda which is where i have been staying and doing my business till date. I have been in this business for a long time and every other thing have been very great.
The cost for training was low when i went for the training and then also i could work well and i could afford the tools. then also there was the need for such service in my community and that is why i started this business. Most of the actual cost in this business comes from electricity and buying other things like the creams, the artificial hair, etc
With a good revenue, i am able to get a great profit which have been supporting me and my dear family all this while
I am from Akim oda in the Eastern Part of Ghana. I have a small community Saloon for women. I have been to stay consistent with my service with my first time loan and now this is the second. I did experimented on adding some small boutique aspect to it and it has shown to be profitable and will stand too.
Therefore i will use this loan for both investments and thus 50% for my saloon as in the hair creams and and the rollers the new washing towels and many others . 50% will all so go into buying ladies wears and then display them. I will add few shoes too since people keep asking for more and that of local sandals as well.
As well thought of and calculated investment, this round of aid will help me stand well in business and in my life.
