About Me

Hi,
My name is Juliana. I run a salon business and at the same time do small scale farming

I am married with three children who mainly depend on me. I stay in the capital city of Kenya , Nairobi.

Though learned with an undergraduate degree, jobs were not easy to come by. I opted to join the business sector in order to earn a living and to survive. So far I have been able to support my family and raise my children though with difficulty.

But I am not giving up soon. I opted to operate a salon business because I had a talent . I loved plaiting hair ever since I was young. Having learnt that from other older family members who used to do the same. It was an easier business to start as I did not need any training on how to plait and maintain good hair.

I do farming too back upcountry. I
loved farming . It was the main economic activity. It also provided us with food for consumption. There being a high demand for fresh vegetables in the city, I opted to start supplying this precious commodity. So far all has been well. A few difficulties experienced from now and then, but I solder on.

My Business

My income source is my salon business and farming.

I have employed two more people to assist me in running day to day operations at the salon.

I have a small farm where I grow vegetables for sale. I also grow crops for consumption by my family.

Both activities enable me to get some little income to tend to my family needs

Loan Proposal

Hi lender,
I intend to use the loan to increase both the salon and farming business. I believe this would increase the amount of income received. in terms of profit. This will not only improve my living standards but that of the people I have employed to help run these businesses.

I intend to use the money given as loan by you as my lender to increase the range of services offered in the salon. Having multiple services makes the salon a one stop shop.

The main service to be added is a spa. There has been a growing demand for such services in the city.

For this to be effected,I will need 50usd. This will be used the necessary equipment for the spa.

Onto the farming business where get most of my revenue to support my family. I intend to increase the variety of vegetables grown. I would like to plant tomatoes and onions too. For this I am requesting for a loan of 100usd.

The amount will be used to lease land so that I can operate on a bigger piece of land. Secondly, it will be used to buy seedlings and necessary fertilizer for the farm.

The loan will also assist me to pay the workers on the farm their salary.

Looking forward for your help in making me realise my dreams, earn a living and improve the living standards of my family members .
