having to educate myself was the biggest challeng ever.but with selling mixed salad fruits,i was able to pay college fees and study early childhood teaching.which became a great passion until i worked for soo many years with poor pay and sometimes u dont even get paid at all.thats when i dedicated my time fully into selling fruit salad.I started selling fruit salad from little white containers. I make them at home ,pack them then go round selling them.been doing that for 1 an a half years now.my customers have since increased an the demand is high. I can't make much coz not enough containers and no fridge to store them.I wanna buy a fridge and bigger containers to meet the customers daily demands.I look at my kids an know single parenting ain't easy, but I want them to have a good life unlike the one I had.during my free time,I search the internet for new recipes of cooking snacks and food because cooking is my passion an hope one day I'll have a fruit parlour an even a food outlet for snacks an real food.
The selling of fruits is a good business. U can't go home without selling. Fresh fruits purchased from the market everyday and prepared into mouthwatering salad.every person can eat this.from children to the elderly.
I make 600 on a good business day .the container sells for 30kshs .with 100 regular customers and the rest to go around selling.
Profits are used as school fees to my two children in school.to my 11 yr old gal an 9yr old son....also in providing for their basic needs.
I sell fruits salad.they are nicely peeled and packaged in small take away containers an sold to the customers at an affordable price.my main goal is to do this business save more an end up opening a restaurant because I'm also a chef.
