About Me

My names are Vincent Ayany Apunda, 28 years of age. Am the third born in a family of five, married to one beautiful wife.I started my primary education at Kenyatta University primary school in the year 1998 before joining gateway high school in ruiru for my secondary education where I sat my KCSE exams in 2007.I later joined Kenya Institute of Management for my degree in business administration, I graduated in 2014 with a second class upper.

I started my business back in the year 2013, I was a third year at the university then. Since I come from a very humble background it reached a points where my parents were so down financially and were really struggling to make ends meet. It is during this time that started this business with just a 100KES to cater for my college expenses and support my parents as well.

We are blessed with one daughter who is 10 months old, I want her to become lawyer by grace when she grows up. My hobbies are playing soccer and travelling

My Business

I run a grocery shop that stocks sukuma wiki, butter nuts, sweet pototoes, fingerlings, pumpkins, tomatoes, onions, cabbages and fruits among other goods.

As had stated earlier that I started this business while in college, I found that it was the only business I could start with as little as 100KES.It was also manageable with my school schedule and most importantly such businesses were very few and the demand exceeded the supply by far.

A business that started with a capital of 100KES has now grown to a working capital of over 25,000KES. The costs generally include transport costs and inventories where as revenue are majorly sales

On a good day I make a profit of 1800KES whereas on a bad day it drops to 1000KES or even 800KES.

Loan Proposal

I will add my stock by buying the following items, 2 bags of potatoes at a cost of ksh 12000,1 crate of tomatoes at a cost of ksh 6000, 20kg of onions at a cost of 2000ksh,vegetables at 1000ksh,orange at 500 ksh, mangoes at 500ksh,ovacado at 500ksh,bananas at 1500ksh,carrots at 300,ginger at 300ksh,Gallic at 300ksh,lemon at 200,fish 2000.It will hence make my grocery shop to expand more thus making me crate more job opportunity to others.I expect my profit to increase from 800 to1500 in a day.

I called Vincent and discussed with him the current economic activity, Vincent has now secured for himself a contract job for which he will me receiving monthly steady income, therefore he has promised to increase the amount of loan installment payment from the current weekly payment of $1 to at least up to $ 3 per week starting from next month May 2019.

I empathize with Vincent's current situation due to the care he is taking for his sick relative, despite the rescheduling of his loan repayment he has been on and off on his business which has really affected his regular income, but he is determined he is soon going to continue paying his loan balance as before as he is putting more stock to the shelves of his grocery kiosk.

On Discussion with Vincent Apunda on phone in regards to his delayed payment which was due to the fact that he had a patient admitted for surgical operations costing him a lot of money on medical bills, however , we have agreed that he is going to request for a review of installment schedule to be able to fit payment with his current financial constraint.
