My names are Kennedy Shandulwa Mulube, aged 25. I grew up as an average kid raised by my mum and dad, who were both doing business: mum was a hairdresser and my dad is a tyre seller.
- I did my grade 1-7 school at Buma Basic School and 8-12 at Nyimba High School.
- When my mum died in 2014, things became hard home since she was the chief provide[r of the] home, and by then I was about to write my exams so I deferred them.
- I got inspired by my mum and my dad, who raised us with business, so when things became hard I realized I had to see things on the different picture, so I had to think which business was truly best for this area. I thought of hardware, which is kind of unique and that's how I started my business.
- The area is high density and some time back people used to go to town just to buy building utensils, and now I brought the goods near their homes.
- I play chess in my leisure time.
I sell building utensils and electrical equipment.
- The area is high density and the business of hardware is kind of unique, and I have been running it in the same area for a long time now so the place is well known.
- It [the business] has high profit and it's unique.
- I use the profits I make to feed my family, and l also provide transport for my two young brothers.
l Will buyroofing nails 25kg and per kg order price its $1.3 and the selling price is $2.5 per kg and 25kg its $26 and I want to order 25kg 1*10 $260
Conduits pipes which costs $7.5, a bunch of 25 and 20 of them and I sell $0.7 each and total is $150
And the electrical adapters 50 of them and order price is $90 and I Sell $3.0 each.
This will benefit me and family in a sense that we will have more source of income to improve my other business.
And I expect my business to grow with a profit Often $400
