About Me

Greetings! My name is Isaac Baccah and I come from the beautiful west African nation called Ghana. I live in the capital city Accra, and I am an IT professional. I enjoy reading and sports, specifically basketball and football.

My Business

I graduated from the University of Ghana in 2018, with a degree in Information Technology, thanks in part to the kindness of the wonderful lenders at Zidisha. After performing my National Service for a year, I have been trying to acquire a good-paying job for the past two years but, although I have been working for a tech company, the job unfortunately doesn't pay the bills. It turns out that most good-paying jobs require certain certifications. The certifications I want to enroll in include the CCNA and Comptia Server+. Thank you so much for this platform and thank you to every one of the lenders at Zidisha.

Loan Proposal

If my loan proposal is accepted and if it is funded, I would use the loan to help me finish paying for accommodation on campus for the remainder of the second semester of my first year in the I.T. program at the University of Ghana.

Maintaining accommodation on campus would continue to reduce the amount I otherwise would have to spend daily on transportation.

My parents help me and also help my younger sister with educational costs from income from their small businesses, as much as they can, but it's very difficult for them to meet all of the household expenses and school expenses, too.

Also, transportation costs are getting higher and higher, with the recent increase in fuel prices.

I really need this loan to help pay for residence-hall fees to keep my on-campus accommodation. Thank you.

Loan Proposal

If my loan proposal is accepted and it is funded, I'll use it to acquire accommodation on campus. Acquiring accommodation on campus would reduce the amount I spend on transportation daily; hence, I would be able to save more money from my jobs to help my dad with my tuition fees (and also my sister's). My dad's house is really far from campus and getting a bus to school is really hectic if I do not leave the house early enough. Sometimes I have to wake up as early as 4:00 a.m. and start preparing for school because on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, I have early-morning lectures. This ordeal is really hectic and tiring and before I report for work, I am soo tired. Living on campus would reduce the pressure and fatigue. Also, transportation to the school is getting higher and higher with the recent increase in fuel prices. I could be more productive at work if I could arrive not tired. I really need this loan to pay residential fees for accommodation in a dorm. Thank you.
