About Me

My name is Clifford Ofori from Teshie, Accra- Ghana. I was born to Ghanaian parents who are both traders in Accra. My mom and dad have seven kids together and i am the third born. I started school at St. Martin's international school in Accra for my basic school education and then to Achimota school for my senior high school education. I had the opportunity to work for a firm as a sales agent and since the I have developed a taste of owning my own business in the future. I saved money when i was with the firm and i grew this money by engaging in buying and selling on the streets of Accra which has helped me finance my education at the university level. I am with the university of Cape Coast reading Bed . Science degree and i am still into this business on the university campus. I want my kids to have the good life, good education and life devoid of financial challenges.

My Business

I sell second hand clothes to my fellow students in the university and people around the university catchment area. People always come to buy from me because they know i deal in quality products. The demand for the goods are very high and sometimes i even run out of stock. Demand far sometimes exceed supply and i have a large number of customer base. I chose to run these business because not all students have what it takes to procure highly expensive designer wears. My goods are quite affordable and can be bought by all people irrespective of one's financial standings. When 380 - 550 dollars goods are bought, i could generate as about 80 - 100 dollars a week. The profit is reinvested into the business to enlarge it and part is used to pay for my university tuition and accommodation.

Loan Proposal

The loan when given will help me to get in stock more second hand clothes to meet the demands of my many customers. The demands for my goods on the university campus and around is very high and I have to procure more of these goods to satisfy the needs of my customers and to also keep the business in good shape. I need 500 dollars to procure more goods so that i will sell them and generate enough money to put myself through school. The benefits this will create to me is that i will be able to pay my university tuition and residential fees without difficulty and take some burden off my parents so that my other sibings will get access to education too. This loan when given will enable me to increase my earnings by two or three times.
