I grew up in Nima 441, a zongo community in Accra. When I completed my senior high education, there was not funds for me to continue my education so I started learning dressmaking from my mum who was sewing by then. In order to support myself and my family I started sewing on my own. I have 2 children who wants to be a Doctor and a Pilot in future. I als teach young girls who have dropped out of school. I love fashion since my childhood that is why I am still sewing.
I have a shop where I sew and also have young women learning under me. I sew for women and young girls. Dressmaking is very useful and in my community and it's always on high demand. In a week, I earn about 600 cedis. The income from my work is used to reinvest in my business and also pay some bills.
I will use the loan to buy roofing sheets $70, cement $50 and paints $30 to enable me renovate my shop to make it attractive to customers for more patronage. I expect to increase my profit by at least 20 % .
