My name is Elizabeth Chipopola. I am married with one child. I am married to Mr Mweetwa. I like to spend much time with my family whenever possible. My hobbies are reading motivational books, magazines and watching motivational movies and watching comedy movies.
I grew up in the Copperbelt province of Zambia with my grandmother at the village. I later joined my mother in Kitwe where I continued my primary school education.
I later qualified to go to secondary school and went to a boarding school.
I have learnt to overcome hardship through perseverance and persistent.
The reason why I started business is to overcome poverty by selling nutritious foods.
The uniqueness of land or culture where I live is that we usually come together and bring all types of food to share among ourselves and the vulnerable people.
My child aspires to be a policeman.
My business involves selling dry pumpkin leaves and pounded groundnuts. I want to see people happy with my products and services. I want to see healthy people , that's why I sell good quality products.
These products are on demand because there are readily available on the market. They are mostly grown in the rainy season, when harvested, they are dried for preservation.
I choose these types of foods because of the nutritious value and do not require a lot of time and energy when preparing.
The typical costs are transportation from the place of bulk buying to the store where they are sold. The other typical cost is the actual ordering. And we hire some to carry them to the vehicle for transportation.
The profits are spent on my child's school expenses. And paying the sales lady who helps to sell.
The other profits are spent on reinvestments and home improvements.
And I want to schooling so that I advance in my education.
I intend to pay the school fees and part of the funds reinvest in the business.
This will be of benefit to my family, that is my son's school fees and my own school fees as I intend to get back to school for education advancement.
The community will benefit alot as they buy readily available products and nutritious foods.
In terms of increase in profits, am expecting an increase of 30%.
This will be of alot of help for me, my family and the community.
