My name is Brenda Maina from Laikipia, Kenya, I am a Human Resource Management Diploma graduate. I am the second born in a family of five siblings, two girls and three boys. After graduation I had a high hopes of securing a stable well paying job but unfortunately I have not yet secured one. But I still have hope everything will pan out.
Due to my current state of unemployment I I decided to start a second hand clothes and shoes business. This has really helped me sustain myself and be able to pay my bills. I really enjoy thrifting and styling the clothes and shoes I get at the market.
I am a people person and I like making people feel comfortable in my presence. This skill is especially helpful when dealing with my customers and ensuring I always provide good customer service to my customers.
I sell second hand clothes and shoes. Majorly I sell them online on social media platforms but occasionally I go round estates and rental houses to sell them. I chose second hand clothes because the capital needed was relatively low and I did not have a lot. Second hand clothes are also fast moving because their uniqueness.
My plan for my business moving forward is raising enough capital to secure a stall where I will be selling from and also to increase my stock.
I will use the funds to buy mannequins and display hangers for my shop. This will help me catch the attention of the walking traffic in order to boost my sales.
