My name is Celestine Anyango Mbinga first born in a family of seven, I grew up in hands of single mother who struggled to take me to school and computer studies (certificate in packages).
It was so difficult raising the seven of us because my mother was running a grocery business that could not raise sufficient income to give us quality education.I decided to venture in creative art and design business to be able to change lifestyle and also support my children to have a better future. I am a mother of two, a boy and a girl and also lives with other two boys whom i am supporting . my hobby is listen to gospel music.
I print bill boards, T-shirts, business cards, wedding cards and office budges to different institutions like hospitals, schools, NGOS, shops, churches and individuals. I also supply stationery to different institution s where i go through bids to win tenders. I personally do typical art and design work with the help of other 3 people who were once street children and through this can earn a living and be self reliant, which has been indeed a plus for me. I got a capital of Kshs 20000 from my uncle which has increased to a turnover of Kshs. 33000 per month
I thank you once again for giving opportunity of applying another loan, this time round I would like to purchase more stationery in my shop. This includes photocopying papers, envelopes, mathematical sets, assorted pens, hard cover books, exercise books, rulers etc, in large quantities. After taking my time and looking for their wholesale prices I found out that they will cost me Kshs. 85,000 which is equivalent to $824.04 then the remaining amount of Kshs. 10,607 which is $102.83 I will use as transport and miscellaneous since I am transporting the goods from the capital city (Nairobi) to Kisumu where I do my business.
This will make my work easier especially in the institutions that I have been supplying the same and it will make me have a good rappo with them since they will have everything they need on time.
The reason why I settled on this is that we are in December and come in January children will be going back to school, so they will really need almost all of this products when going back to school. So like in our country Kenya you find that as form ones will be admitted and most of parents doesn't know where to buy the stationery needed, so being in a central place where most people pass while on their daily routine I believe that my shop will be noticed easily, and with that my profit will increase upto Kshs. 5,100 that is $49.44.
