My name is Silue Jonathan, I have been living in the town of Tamale since my birth. Life has never been easy for me as I always do hard work to ensure my daily meal. So, I have done jobs as a bricklayer aide, street cigarette vendor, shop clerk etc ...
All this professional experience did not bring me any money except the simple fact of eating only. But with great courage, I always kept working for my survival. My parents have been unemployed for a very long time because my father was a chauffeur and my housewife mother. Since the vehicle that my daddy was driving broke down, his boss could not repair it. And it is since that time that the problems began.
After trying to work in many areas without success, now I dig holes for the national water distribution company. I am paying 30GHS a day but the job is very difficult as I eat a lot to be physically fit to do the job. When there is no work with this company, I work in new houses because they need to dig holes for the toilet. With them, I make the bill according to the depth of the hole. It is true that the work is difficult but I can pay the things I need. If I had this money, I will buy picks for my work.
The pickaxe I have at the moment is very old and does not satisfy me anymore. Afterwards, if the means allow me, I intend to use this money to buy a new shovel to make my work more enjoyable. I am very happy.
