I am a 4th year student at kisii university college. I joined campus in the year 2011 after completing my kcse certificate in Kabianga Boys High school where i scored a mean grade of B+. My family members live in Brook village in kericho county where tea is grown as a main cash crop. My parents are peasant farmers and they grow tea and other farming crops to sustain living. I am the second born son of the six family members. My elder sister is a law graduate from Moi University and know she is seeking for a job. As a student i am an entrepreneur too operating poultry project. I started this project three months ago and it has been growing and expanding. I tape this project when i realized there was high demand of eggs and chickens in our local area and nobody was there to supply the same. I decided to venture into this project and it has been so profitable
I am operating poultry farming activity which i started three months ago in a piece of land given by my parents. I got the starting capital from my parents, relatives and friends who generously contributed to my project. I started with a capital of ksh 20000 by buying 40 layers chickens worth ksh15000 and the remaining amount used to construct poultry house. The challenge i am facing is lack of funds to absorb demand pressure from local market and other customers. Every day i am collecting 32-35 eggs and i sell one egg at ksh 15 to my local customers. Every day i make a profit of ksh500 after deducting all other expenses. I am planning to expand and rear to about 1000 hens in the next one year. I am seeking for your financial suppport from willing lenders to see this project reach the next level. Thanks
With the same vision I had 6 years ago of being one of the best poultry farmers in the region still alive;I have managed to move from 40 chicken to over 3000 chicken.having gotten the previous loan and expanded the housing for my poultry;I have decided to bought a hatchery machine worth 3250 dollars.i have managed to save 2150 dollars from the business and thus I have a deficit of 1100 dollars..this loan will assist to reduce the deficit that I have and this will help me alot.i have managed to build a house where hatchery machines will be operated within the poultry farm..this will create employment to other 4 people and this increasing my staff to 7.This will in turn increase my poultry farming income. I am kindly requesting for the funding so that I can be able to manage the hatchery and be able to sell the chicks and not eggs alone. I also invite my lenders to visit my business so that they can be able to appreciate what their loan is doing.
