I am married and father of one son, i was born in the rural part of wetaern part of Kenya vihiga constituency, i went to school in the rural area, my parents were not very able financially this lead to a lot of difficulties in my high school education, at a time i had to work in the farms of neighbors to help out to raise fees, buy my school uniform, this uniform was also my everyday attire at home and my best Sunday best, i didn't have shoes,, i slept on a piece of cloth that formed my blanket, where i was raised we only had two meals a day breakfast and late dinner. This made me strong ot be more patience in life because i learnt that life is a process and good things will come if i go after them and my past can not define my past.
Like my parents i am very close to agriculture i grew up in the farm, my business involves growing of vegetables i have a kiosk, which i use to supply and retail, sukuma wiki, cabbages, spinach, dhania, i grow this type of vegetables because where my business is situated this is what the people use in their daily life as major food, vegetable is consumed over 99% of the house holds in the informal settlements, this is what we raise our families on.The profits that i get i use them to pay my son's fees, rent for the kiosk, and my entire life of course runs on this business.
The loan will go to the purchase of a water tank reservoir, i want to always have water when there is no rain, in the future i want to have drip irrigation system, so i want to buy the units piece by piece slowly, one thing at a time, i want to start with a tank of 5000 liters, with this type of tank i will have enough water to last me at least two weeks before i pump more water into the tank. The weather has changed so much that we dont get rain like we used to its more sun and more sun, currently the average farmer must rely on irrigation if not poor yields that leads to looses, the tank will 12000 kshs, with the tank i will be able to plant all year round. thus grantee me of yields and profits, for my family it will be an investment to the business and a secure future.
