I am a Kenyan citizen aged 35 years and a father of 2 children. I hold Bachelors of Education (Science) and community studies from Egerton University. I have worked extensively with several communities on different in regards community health outreaches on AIDs , maternal health, peer education etc. Am well versed with community needs. I was brought up in a polygamous family, am the only one with college education in my famil. In the university I hired a pool table to earn some living. This idea came about when I was working within the community. I realized that in several occassion, most people do not easily accessi public address system for functions such as funerals, weddings, public meeting etc. I bought an amplifier, 2 speakers, and one microphone, at different times to set up Cjo Brown sound. One of my daughters want to be an actor, the other one want to be a doctor. I like reading and watching scientific or ancient documentaries.
I hire out public address address equipment to members of my community at a affordable rate to facility communication during public gatherings. I realised the demand of public address systems in gatherings such as funeral, weddings, public meeting are on high demand and very few small time suppliers.that is why I developed interest to capitalize on this business opportunity.
This helps me to supplement my earnings and paying for school fees for my children, rent and licenses . Cost of transporting the equipment is catered for by the client, I do the marketing myself, look for clients in advance, but some of them are walk in or referrals. I can get on average 6 clients per month at a cost of Ksh 4000 (USD 47) per day hired, this results to approximately Ksh 24000 (USD 282) per month
I already have a public address system consisting of 2 speakers, amplifiers, a laptop. I used to have a cable microphone which makes it impossible for the person using to flexibly move around. I would like to spend the loan to buy a cordless microphone for public and political campaigns on a truck that i have acquired from my brother in law.
It will be a mobile campaign unit with music, message from the aspirant and a few dancers. Per day i will be making about KES 1500 ( USD 15). The expenses will cost about USD 10. I will make a profit of USD 5 per. Therefore, i will be able to pay my loan without any difficulties. Thanks
