About Me

I am Evans Kiprono Too a 25 year old male nicknamed Ndugu a Kenyan citizen from Kericho county Ainamoi subcounty Kapsoit ward Kenegut location Kenegut sub location Kiboybei village. Born in a family of 5 children,1 sister and 4 brothers I included. My mother is a farmer she owns some few acres of tea ,maize and sugarcane this is her source of income ,her farm work has helped us in our education. She taught us how to farm which encouraged me to start planting tree seedlings. Currently i have about 1500 seedlings and i have planted 2000 trees.I went to my primary level at my village but transferred to a private school within my ward where i completed my primary level. I joined Kabianga high school in 2009 up to 2012 where i completed and joined Portreitz KMTC taking a diploma course in clinical medicine and surgery .I graduated in the year 2016 and went to Narok referral hospital for my internship for 1 year. After a year of my internship i was employed by Shepherds medical centre Lodwar branch where i am currently working.

My Business

Planting trees and conserving environment is my passion and my favorite business. I started planting trees seedlings in the year 2019.I began with 200 seedlings which i planted all. Many people were interested with trees i planted this motivated me to plant more and venture into business .I sold each seedling at 10 shillings depending on the type of a tree, it is an interesting kind of a business. I also started the idea of planting flowers which many people are so interested in and need them in their compound. I sold each flower at 7 shillings .

Loan Proposal

I want to increase the number of seedlings in the bed to at least 10,000 trees and 5000 flowers. Also i need more plastic bags plus one employee that will help in watering and also during transportation of seedlings to the market.

Income Source

In terms of long season of no rains and dry weather conditions, we have a nearby permanent and reliable source of water from Kiboybei river. This will guarantee me continuous production of seedlings throughout the year.
I also have a part time job working as a clinician which will help me to repay my loans incase of inconvenient circumstances arising from the farm.
