About Me
my name is Emmanuel Mwaura a 30 year old trained engineer in electrics and electronics. im also a Part time pig farmer living in Nairobi Kenya. im also a peer educator and motivational speaker among the youth in and around my sphere of influence. im a self taught agronomist currently a specialist in pig rearing and breeding.
My Business
my primary source of income comes from my small pig farm with about 40 hogs comprising of six sows (mothers), and a boar (male). the farm also has thirty three gilts and baconers in various stages of production between two to eight months. the farm is located in a 50*100 ft piece of land with enough space for. growth in the near future. currently the farm has a labour force of one permanent employee and a casual labourer.
Loan Proposal
I will purchase a bag of sow and weaner feeds for exclusively feeding young piglets which have already been weaned from the mother at the age of between 2-3 months old. A bag of sow and weaner feeds goes for 2250 ksh with each piglet consuming half a kg per day. Currently the farm has ten weaned piglets which require a bag to last them for for two weeks
