My name is Phillip Frimpong, young and very brilliant student of Ghanaian parentage.
I am a boy from a small town in Ghana. My parents are farmers and they used to sell some of the farm produces to make ends meet. The little they get from farming is what put food on the table for me and my other eight sibings. I started and completed my basic education at hopeland preparatory school. I was one of the best student in among my year group. My parent's income could not send me to senior high school that year and i sat home for three years before a good samara tan saw the potential in me and paid my high school admission for me.
Africa is underdeveloped because majority of the people on the continent are illiterate and since education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom and development, it should not be taken lightly. Difficulties and fustrations peoples go through in order to get money to pay tuition is really hectic. I am a victim myself.
I am student and a seller. I sell second- hand shirts and trousers to students and others who needs them. It is low cost and all people can buy it. I am into this trade because is very good and give me profit to sustain my academic life. People also demand it at all time. The function of education is to give the people knowledge to solve societal problems and for people to think intensively and critically in solving the numerous problems bedevilled the country. The problems that blocks people from accessing better and quality education should be clear off to give people the opportunity to enjoy better education. Non payment of tuition fees has kept many away from the school environment.
Education is the backbone of every developed nation therefore Africans must make sure access to quality education is their priority. I need $100 to pay my tuition.
