My name is Emmanuel Turkson born on the 26 day of september 1960.I had my early education in Takoradi with the Archbishop Porter school in Effiakuma and later proceeded to the Axim secondary school in 1974 and later to the St.Mary's Boys School.I am a holder of marine engine technician certificate .
I started my business of selling used clothes with the help of a loan my uncle gave me.Unfortunately, with less than $25 and a lot of mouths to feed,I could hardly break even.I am living in a new settlement in Accra where it is very difficult to get to the town center and do business because of the intense traffic situation.Business prospects can be promising if well organised. Two of my three children want to read medicine after high school.I love the game of football and also a fan of Chelsea football club.
I am into the supply and sale of organic fertilisers to farmers, As a leader in a networking company from Malaysia which deals in these products ,I will earn retail profits for products sold and and bonuses paid at the end of every month if I only I buy and sell some of these products. The agric sector employs about 70% of all the work force in my country.I am passionate about every thing that touches on agric.
Normally, I do realize up to 50% retail profits minus transport costs of organic fertilizers sold.My children attend private schools and most of what I make by way of profits goes into their education.I hope to be a good user of these facility so that I earn the trust to borrow bigger money to expand my trade and also to affect the quality of life of my children.
This loan if granted will be used to buy organic fertilizers for our local farmers. The consumption of inorganic fertilizers is on the rise in africa and our farmers need to be educated on the several advantages of adopting a safer practice of farming.
Prices range between $25-$100 of various sizes in litres of the product. This product addresses the issues of inadequate yields that plague our farmers as well as health challenges caused by the consumption of synthetic fertilizers used by most farmers.I hope to cash in on this because agricultural subsidies to farmers by our government are no longer prompt as expected.
With time,I expect my profits to increase to 100%..
