About Me

My name is Kithinji Arthur son to Arthur Maingi. I was born in February 14 1992 as the last son to my 75yr old father. I went to primary school and scored 318 out of 500 marks in 2005 which qualified me for high school. I went to Chugu Boys Secondary school and later in 2009 I scored a B- grade in K.C.S.E. By then my dad a former Chief had retired and didn't have money to take me to university. I decided to get small employment that would help me raise money. I saved until 2013 and joined Africa Nazarene university. one of my ways I paid my school fees is a carpentry business I begun. I'll graduate hopefully this year but I'd like to grow my business bigger because I'm married with one son. my wife recently joined university and I'm paying her fees as well as raising my 5 month old son. in the photo I shared some desks I made for a school.

My Business

I begun this carpentry business in 2012. I make chairs, sofa sets, beds and mostly desks for schools both primary and secondary by order. I'm not a carpenter myself but I've two able carpenters I've hired. I pay each 10000 at the end of the month. my work is to go around the county looking for market of the furniture.I prepare my books of accounts quarterly. In a good quarter I get around 50000-60000. I pay rent where my business is located amounting to 5000 together with electricity. I service my machines with 2000 and I'm left with around 25000 for my personal use to pay my school fees and that of my wife and for family expenditure.

Loan Proposal

I will rent a showroom for 200 us dollars in mwingi town which I'll display my furniture to get a new market. I'm targeting mwingi because there are few showrooms of my category. I can be icharge here so I'll not need any employee.
