I am a mother of three children ,Anet,Naomi and Oscar aged 6,4 and 2 respectively. I went to ligega primary school and later joined sega girls for secondary education, I then went to kisumu polytechnic for tailoring and cloth making course and graduated with a certificate. I got married while I was still a young girl after falling pregnant ,My husband and I moved in together but we did not have any source of income ,we skipped meals and I failed to attend clinic during my first pregnancy because of lack of money. My husband final got a job in a hotel and life started changing. He used his first salary to buy me sewing machine which , I started by working from the house since we didn't have enough money to use in the renting of a shop for the business. The business picked up well and I managed to rent a small room from where i ran my business. The business has now expanded and I have two assistants and three machines. I am happy with the business because it has helped me create employment and also helps me earn my living.
I love singing and dancing. I am the choir mistress in our church.During the free time we join with other church members to visit the sick, orphans and the elderly. I always fill good and fulfilled when I help the less disadvantaged in the society through moral support.
I do tailoring ,design and cloth making. I usually make African design cloths (vitenge) for men and women. I have a male and female assistants. The demand for the cloths is high and my target clients are tourists and locals. I also make cloths and supply them to retailers and that has boosted my business.
I choose clothing industry because it is profitable and enjoyable.
My typical costs per moth are $150 and my typical revenues per month are $400 per month.
I use my revenues to pay fees for my children, support my parents and reinvest in the business as I execute my expansion plan.
Hello lenders.I recently moved to a bigger spacious shop which can hold up to six tailors ,but currently we are only three . I am looking forward to adding more three but due to financial constraints I have not been able. Given the loan,I would add one more sewing machine which will enable me to expand the business and tackle more job.It will increase my revenues and also reduce waiting time for customers.Thank you in advance
