Born in Bungoma county , i went to school in the village, my early year involved a lot of work in the farm working with my parents helping them , grow maize, beans , sweet potatoes, cassava among others, my parents moved to Nairobi while i was in in form one, and by then my mother started a business of selling fish and fingerling along the road side in kishagi the money she made formed part of the money that was used to pay school fee for me and my sisters and brothers, we all had to go to schools that were not recognized they were very small village schools in the slum, after my high school level education i got lucky i got a sponsor who sent me to do a course in hair dressing, which is now my only income for now.
My business is a hair a salon for hair dressing for women and a barbershop for men, in the slum women can not afford expensive styles, i have one girl to help me out we do blow dry, straightening, plaiting, we do dreadlocks and our price very affordable, and we have a super great service, i have faithful clients they are my every week clients they must come to the salon for a retouch every once a week, we are the only barbershop with female service providers, we also have very faith male clients who enjoy being taken care of by my lovely ladies.
The loan will be used to purchase a new hand blow drier which will cots 7500 kshs the remaining 1534 kshs i will use to buy a 3 liters of washing shampoo, this will make my business more effective and happy clients and i will more profits to take care of my family, and pay fees for my son.
