About Me

My name is Caroline, My parents were very religious and so they had my name from the Bible and i was also brought up in the church ways. I went to a mission school throughout all my primary and secondary. I completed with very good marks and i was able to join the university to undertake a diploma in nursing. My father is a peasant farmer and my mother is a matron at the mission school where i went. I am the only child but money has become a problem to them because the college fee is high. I am a talented designer and artist and what i do during my leisure is making drawings and painting them. I translated this into business and i started to apply nail polish and nail art at school. The unique thing in Eldoret, Kuinet village where i come from is the strong belief in God. Christianity is a strong hold and church goers are highly respected.

My Business

I started a business of applying nail polish and doing nail arts in my second year of study in the business by putting together my small savings plus a student's loan that i had received from the school's student union. The nail manicure and pedicure is always in demand because people value their appearances so much and this is part of their looks. It is useful because it improves self confidence in people and raises their self esteem too. I chose this business because first i love art and colours. Second is i am in a class of forty where we are only five men and the rest are ladies. This way i had spotted an immediate market that are people who i easily interact with and they contribute alot into the business. I make nails at 0.5 us dollars each. In a fair day i make about 6 us dollars from i which i provide for my needs and save to pay for my school fees.

Loan Proposal

I am requesting to get this loan because the beauty industry is growing and coming up with new things. In order for me to get more pay and a higher income at the end of the day i need to buy the latest equipment. I need to buy the Gel manicure ultraviolet kit worth 25us dollars and three new gel polish each worth 0.3 us dollars. If i add my savings to the loan to be given i will be able to purchase it and improve my income.
