About Me
My name is Allan Kariuki, 31 years old married and a father of 2 kids. I live in Kenya, Kiambu county Juja sub-county Kalimoni location.
My Business
I am a farmer, currently doing mushroom business. The idea of mushroom farming is because of the increasing demand in local and international markets furthermore mushroom takes less time to grow and very nutritious when it comes to health benefits.
In terms of cost and revenue mushroom farming depend on the size of your growing room, the bigger the growing room the more you can fetch more harvest. In my case I'm limited in space whereby I operate in room of 10 feet squared.
My Production is small therefore my profits cater for school fees and household needs. However I'm looking for capital to expand my growing room to create more space.
Project Proposal
I'm seeking funds to buy mushroom seeds whereby I am facing challenges in buying them. I have already exhausted capital in preparation of my growing room therefore i am requesting zidisha community to fund my project. Thank you.
