About Me
I was born in nairobi donholm area.i undertook my primary and secondary level in donholm.life in the city was difficult but my family managed to sail through.handwork has always seen me through hardships,believing too.after high school with the help of my family i was able to start my own business which is operating an mpesa agent a service which enables transfer of money through mobile network at a fee.i have two daughters who are young and one is in nursery school and the young one is 9months old. my older daughter dreams of becoming so many things given that she is still young to understand, she is barely 4years. at times she wants to be a doctor, then like mommy, then a teacher.....but we are working hard to better their lives.my hobbies are socializing,singing and listening to music.
My Business
basically i offer services of withdrawal,deposit and customer registration to the Mpesa money transfer service.Mpesa which is owned by safaricom is a widely used service in kenya and almost everybody relies on this service, being an agent safaricom company pays us commission on the number of transactions carried out within the month in relation to the amount tnsacted and that's how we get to make profit.however the cash for deposit and withdrawal is provided by us agents.I chose this business cause it is easy to operate and since it deals with cash no loss is incurred in breakages or damages of goods.my typical cost is $167 but i use $890 for float and cash for transactions.the profit is $167-222.depending on number of transactions per month.that is the cash for withdraw and deposit.this does not change through the month.I use the profits to pay for my bills and fees and also save for the future and incase of emergencies
Loan Proposal
A few months ago I took up an education policy for my two daughters so as to ease my financial burden when they reach a higher education level.
I will be needing this loan so as to help me pay the policy which I pay $65 on a monthly basis. The last loan I took helped me a lot to raise the policy money and now that I qualify for a larger limit it will be very helpful to me.
My only source of income is my m pesa shop which offers mobile money transfers. The success of an mpesa is having a larger amount of money that will enable you serve more customers and also handle larger transactions and hence more profit.
Now that my current loan limit has been increased I will be able to serve more people,this current limit will also see my monthly earnings increase by at least 5% which to my business will translate to 100$.
