I was born in nairobi donholm area.i undertook my primary and secondary level in donholm.life in the city was difficult but my family managed to sail through.handwork has always seen me through hardships, believing too.after high school with the help of my family i was able to start my own business which is operating an mpesa agent a service which enables transfer of money through mobile network at a fee.i have two daughters who are young and one is in nursery school and the young one is 9months old. my older daughter dreams of becoming so many things given that she is still young to understand, she is barely 4years. at times she wants to be a doctor, then like mommy, then a teacher.....but we are working hard to better their lives.my hobbies are socializing, singing and listening to music.
basically i offer services of withdrawal, deposit and customer registration to the Mpesa money transfer service.Mpesa which is owned by safaricom is a widely used service in kenya and almost everybody relies on this service, being an agent safaricom company pays us commission on the number of transactions carried out within the month in relation to the amount tnsacted and that's how we get to make profit.however the cash for deposit and withdrawal is provided by us agents.I chose this business cause it is easy to operate and since it deals with cash no loss is incurred in breakages or damages of goods.my typical cost is $167 but i use $890 for float and cash for transactions.the profit is $167-222.depending on number of transactions per month.that is the cash for withdraw and deposit.this does not change through the month.I use the profits to pay for my bills and fees and also save for the future and incase of emergencies
I will use the loan to add to my mpesa float. This loan will enable me to serve more of the customers who will be requiring to transact large amounts of money. At times when customers come to my mpesa shop and I tell them that o wont be able to help them due to lack of float my heart breaks when I see the sad lok on their faces as they walk away.
This loan will help both my customers and I since I will be able to serve more of them and my customers too will be happy since they wont be moving from shop to shop looking for float and also they wont risk being robbed since one might never who they might meet on their move from shop to shop.
I ammunition hopeful that my profit will increase by 15%. We are approaching the Christmas festivities and business is normally good since most people are in celebratory moods and hence end up spending alot.
Being Christmas its family time so we will use the profit to go on a family vacation. I will also buy my daughter a new pair of uniform and a games track suit that is being introduced by next year 2016.
Finally I just want to thank you once again for your help and for the loan especially my lenders and I cant forget mention Mr.Paul Graham. Thank in advance.
