I was barely 8 years old, but I remember vividly that moment, when my uncle -- whom I had not known since I was born and who worked and stayed with his family in town -- visited our home…with this posh white KAA Peugeot 504 and my cousins in the back seat. It dawned on me that there was a different kind of life apart from what I was used to: I realized that I hated poverty and I promised myself if there was to be change in my family, it had to start with me…I had to be that change.
My business deals with sales of medicine and other medical apparatus. When I learned of zidisha I really needed some more money to boost my business, and I am grateful I am now a member.
Today I thank God because with my business I can afford the basics of life and also some luxuries from the income. I may not be where I am supposed to be, I am not where I used to be, but one thing is certain…I am making progress.
With this loan I want to buy more stock for my chemist [pharmacy] and buy some computers and install a point of sale software to help me better manage my stocks i.e. sales and inventories.
I would also like to purchase a laptop to help me access and monitor my stock movement and levels in every shop from wherever I am. I believe that this will help me do timely restocking , proper follow-ups and help curb any sort of theft or spoilage.
