I, Mary Wanjiku Ng'ang'a, was born in the year 1978 in Nakuru, Kenya in a family of ten children. I come from a poor family. I have a husband and two kids (a first born girl who is seven years and a boy 2 years and 9 months). I have been running a small business in Njoro near Egerton University. I have been in business almost ten years but facing many challenges due to lack of capital. I am unable to improve it because there are many people who are depending on me. I aspire to help them. A customer who is also a friend came to me and informed me about Zidisha. I was very happy and knew my dying dreams were going to be revived and I am going to fulfill them. I love people, I love children and I would like to help the following people:
1. Old people who are asthmatics,
2. Widows suffering when raising their children,
3. Orphans, especially providing school fees, clothing, food, and medical services.
I would like to help all people in general and boost my business.
My business is selling clothes. It is at Egerton University Main gate (main campus, Njoro). My approximate total income a month is KES 6000. Therefore, if funded, my income will increase by KES 2000 because business is good when the University is in session. I have personal challenges; my distant cousin depends on me for their upkeep and occasional school fees. If funded, besides helping my family, extended family members will also benefit. In African setting, we normal take care of members of extended families. My other use of my profit will be persons who are asthmatic, widows, and orphans, among others.
The loan I am requesting is to increase my products:
women clothing US$ 60.00, profit here US $ 20.00,
Children's clothing US $ 25, profit US$ 12.50,
Men's clothing US$ 10.00, profit US$ 15.00.
The profit accrued will be useful for household use, my children going to school. Being a Christian, with this assistance, the members in our society I will help as need will be.
