About Me

My name is Magret Phiri I am a 30 year old female who resides in Lusaka Zambia shantumbu chalala. I have a husband and 5 children whom I support entirely. I have a small farm that I started about 5 years ago when I first acquired some personal land of my own. I am a small scale commercial farmer, for 5 years I haven't been in any formal employment but my crops have been able to sustain my household together with paying of school fees of all of my 5 children.

My Business

I am a small scale farmer. I grow various crops which include vegetables and maize which I sale to marketers and also for home consumption. My business has been sustaining my family for 5 years now and I am happy to say that it has been sustaining my household financially.

Loan Proposal

With the loan I just paid back I was able to buy the fruit seedlings. With the new loan I am applying for I would like to purchase some manure and fertilizer. The land has been cleared and we have been making composite so that the land is fertile enough for the plants. While we wait for the seedlings to grow slightly I'll continue to work on the fertility of the land. I will also need manure so that the fruits grow well.

Income Source

Yes businesses do face risks but I am positive I will not make any losses despite the pandemic because farm business is a fast paced business as people heavily rely on food consumption I always have business with most of my clients are marketers so I'm sure I'll be able to pay back with ease.
