About Me

Am Anne Awuor Ogwengo, I was brought up by my Dad after my mum death when i was 4years old alongside my elder sister who was 7years by then while my little brother was 2 year old.
My dad sold fried fish for our survival, My vivid memory recalls my dad always coming home late and shedding tears over the worry for his children. After one year my Aunty came and stayed with us for two years.
I spent most of my life in the rural where i schooled. After primary school i had to join the cheapest high school around. It was 10KM away and i managed to walk daily to and from school for two years then my cousin relocated to stay with her and join a starting boarding school around the lake region in Mbita. We were 12students in my class and 80 students in the whole school.
That demonstrates how cheap it was and only students who could join are those with no option. Only parents or guardians with below average income would take the kids their. My elder sister had dropped at class 7 but i was determined. And promised not to be discouraged by circumstances. I finished high school in 2013 with a fee balance of ksh.20 000.
I got married in 2015 and my husband is an average earner. We both sacrifice so that we can pay for my tailoring training. I want to have my own tailoring shop so i can support my husband and great of all support my elderly dad. I must say am grateful to my husband for supporting my training and assisting in joining Zidisha.
He always encourages me that we shall one day clear the school fees so that i can collect my certificate and then join a college.
Am one saved lady who loves singing, reading bible and sewing inhouse when not in the training shop.

My Business

Tailoring shop
I want to provide most services regarding clothing. from simple repair, making new ones to design.
I shall also purchase tailoring materials on whole sale and sell at retail. My husband is already helping me create contacts with supplies in Tanzania and Uganda through social media.
Clothing shall never be out of demand. Fashions shall always be needed and i love sewing. This is why i wan to do this business.. This means i would cater for
1 Rent 4000
2 Electricity 500
3 Sewing Materials 20,000
3 Sewing Machines 20,000
Sewing machines are one time purchase assets while Sewing materials would be after every 3months.
A bulk of ksh 20000 of sewing material will give a return of ksh. 50000. Averagely in a amoth it shall be a return of 12,000 enough to cater for expenses and repaying a loan.

Loan Proposal

I shall use this money to slowly get the basics as well as pay for my training. I shall grow my loan limit till i shall be able to fully establish my business.
This shall be a motivating factor towards my business, a joy to my husband and unbelievable to my dad.
