My name is Emelia Donkor . I'm known and called DONK. Affter Senior High Education,I embarked on trading .I started selling chewing gum, toffees, matches and black polythene bags at the main lorry station. My target was to serve passengers who may travel around the municipality. I had accumulated some few monies so I hired a store and stocked it with milk, milo, satchel water, baby diapers, sugar, wahing and bathing soap and minerals like:coca-cola,malt,Fanta and so on. " Kwafie" is celebrated every two years in Dormaa Ahenkro and it is celebrated at the time when farmers had started harvesting their food crops.
I sell milk, milo, soap, toilet rolls and many others. I saw that these items would be useful tbecause when I was selling in smaller quantities for the passengers who where Because most of these item could be obtained from the big cities like Berekum, buyers prefer buying in larger quantities from Dormaa. I tried to sell things that people use daily. my products would a good supply for retailers especially on Tuesday's which is the municipal market. I started this business with. 100GH and now with the store, I have around 1000Gh as capital. I make a sale of about 100gh a day and even more on Tuesday's. I use part of the profit
I will buy ten bags of sugar$79,five bags of sugar$88 to be sold to my retail customers,.I will buy five boxes of milk$57 to fill the empty spaces for milk.I will need about ten boxes of baby diapers$65. Seven boxes of washing soap$67. Three boxes of mosquito coil$38. Mosquito coils are mostly used in my community. Mosquitoes are most rampant because of poor drainage systems and weedy areas.
