my name is Jackson from Eldoret. I went to schools in the same town and completed my education at form four level at Uasin Gishu secondary school famously known as Ug high group of 2011.
I never joined college because my parents lacked the capabilities to support me in school, this never deterred me from working extra hard. We owned a small piece of land that was our home. I thought of using the available opportunity to make a living.
Therefore i started doing farming using Sacks and polythene bag. I use to fill the polythene bags with sand and plant kales and onions on those bags, this was economical to me because i could plant so many kales and onions on a very small piece of land.
i do small scale farming where i basically specialize in the sale of of onions and kales. This goods are useful because they are food to our bodies that sustains our living.
I chose this business because being and agriculture student in school, we had learnt that with the little land that you have, you can do agriculture and make a living. With my parent land i therefore thought of taking this project.
I have been saving most of my profits that i make from the business because i wish to lease a bigger farm where i can now do large scale farming
the loan will help me lease a farm for a period of one year at a cost of 70 us dollars, the loan will be added to my saving of 57us dollars and lease the land.
I will benefit so much from the land because i can now be carrying out large scale farming. This will in turn increase my income and generally empower me economically. I expect after making the first harvest from this land to make a profit of 300 us dollars
