My name is Stephen. I was born in Nakuru, Kenya. I attended Joy Academy for primary schooling. I later joined Gilgil boys high school. I had to drop out of school due to lack of school fees. I managed to learn to make some tools out of metal. I started by working as a manual worker in construction sites for almost a year to raise capital to start my own business as a jua kali artisan. I like playing volleyball when am not at work.
I make for people wheelbarrows, metallic boxes and jikos among others. My goods are usefull in that they are mostly used in most homesteads in things like cooking with jikos. I had an intrest in it since I had visited my cousin who does the same business and it inspired me a lot. I usually use the profits to supplement my daily needs and maintain my stock.
I will buy more metals to make more products. I may need around $50. This will increase my supply and ensure my customers won’t lack goods at all. I now will expect $20 profit daily.
