About Me

I am Alice Ndukku, a widow from the slums of Kibera.I was born and raised in Kerugoya. We were brought up by disciplinarian parents who fostered much on our discipline and how we carried ourselves out both in the public and at home.I got both of my primary and secondary education respectively in Kerugoya.I got married after i had completed my higher level education. We were blessed with three children. After some years in marriage, unfortunately my husband passed away on a road accident and i was left a widow. After the burial of my husband i was chased away by his brothers because they wanted an opportunity to grab his large tracks of land.I took my children with me and settled in Kibera slums where i started up a charity organization helping the poor and vulnerable children get education, food, healthcare and shelter.I picked out the suffering children who were orphaned and gave them a home.

My Business

I do not have any business.I have a charity organization helping the poor and the vulnerable in the Kibera slums. When i was chased away from my husband's ancestral land after his death, i came with my children and settled at Kibera slums because the cost of living was cheaper in this slums.I realized after a short stay at this slums that there was a high population of orphan children and the vulnerable.I then started up a charity organization to help cater for the needs of these children.Having been heart broken after the incident that took place after my husband had passed away, i found this act of charity to the orphaned children and the vulnerable consoling my sole and i took the chance to help these children.I provided a shelter to them, i provided them with food, medical care and took them to school to acquire knowledge.I also trained them some basic skills in life.

Loan Proposal

The loan will be of benefit to thousands of slum children who are vulnerable, orphaned and poor.It will feed them since i will use the loan to buy food and cereals to feed these poor, vulnerable and orphaned children thus they will not go to bed hungry even on a single day.The loan when disbursed will also be used to buy bedding for the children so that they can have their sleep comfortably during the night. The bedding that i will purchase are mosquito nets, mattresses, bed sheets and blankets. This will enable them have a comfortable sleep during the nights and the mosquito nets will prevent them from malaria and keep them healthy.I am also planning to renovate their dormitories by repainting and installing proper lighting system to enable the read with a lot of ease in their dormitories before they sleep.Repainting the dormitories will make them look new and attractive.
