About Me

My name is Frank Addo. I am the third born of my parents three children.
My father's name is Mr Evans Kofi Addo and my mother's name is Akosua Asabea Addo. We were once living at Western Region where i schooled and everything but later my father who is a teacher and a farmer moved to Berekum (his hometown) and has been living in this nice community for about 15 years now. I attended my Junior High School at Akab Complex School and completed my Senior High education at Methodist Secondary and Technical School. Just like most stories in this community, life has thrown us many punches but we have managed through that; life was not all smooth but we are very pleased with how far i have come with me and my family and hope for a better day.
I spend most of the time reading books and when i am free I play draught. Fufu with groundnut soup is my best dish for the night but i enjoy Porridge with
bread in the morning.

My Business

I am a High School graudate who teaches at some Basic Schools in my community (mostly part-time) and a farmer as well and I wish to continue school and later become a professional teacher but for the time being i have resolved to doing farming which is the only way i have used to feed myself and my family for the past years. I was given a piece of land by my father to farm and I plan to take that as an opportunity to make money and later become a professional school teacher someday. I have palm nuts, maize, groundnut, oranges, sugar-apple, yam and cassava.
Most of the crops are cultivated in accordance with the season. At harvest period i normally keep some of the farm produce at home to feed my family and later
sell bulk of them to market women to sell to the community and i am happy to be part to the team that helps in feeding my community. One of my problems with my farming is pests and diseases that affect the crops and some times when the rains do not fall the crops wither. I wish to seek help from Zidisha in order to improve my farm, my life and continue my education.

Loan Proposal

I need about $124 to buy pesticides to control crop diseases to be able to protect the crops. I will use this same amount to purchase maize and groundnut seeds to be able to increase production in that sector. We are in the rainy season and this is the time to make most out of it. The market is ready and people keep buying farm produce for their personal use or commercial purposes.
I will be able to pay back the loan and on time. Thank you
