About Me

My name is Noah I come from the coastal region of Kenya. I live currently in Mombasa town and i was born in Kilifi. I grew up in a strict christian family where we went to church every week on sunday. I went to a mission primary school as well as a mission secondary school. My hobby is playing piano and guitar and i used to play either of them every sunday. I have three siblings and none of them has such talent so i see myself being blessed. During the Kenyan Al-shabaab attacks, both of my parents were victims and they died in the church attack plus one of my siblings. The two of the other siblings were in boarding schools and i was in college in Nairobi at the time doing a course in music. This was a painful experience and i had to drop out of college so that i could take care of my siblings. I used some of my savings and pocket money and school fees meant for the next year in college to start a business in music. My other hobby is traveling.

My Business

I created a musical band and bought some basic musical instruments for a start. I provide entertainment services to people. Entertainment is important as it relaxes the minds of people and it is the best known form of leisure activity. After a hard long day of work you can come at our station and listen to some soft music from a live band as you relax. I chose the musical business because it is my passion and i am talented in it. And every time i sing or perform i remember how my parents were happy in church while i played the instruments. We are a band of five members and our income is irregular. It depends on the number of people who come to our station per day and if we have been invited to perform at an event. When we perform at an event we are paid about 200 us dollars. We use the money to pay rent at the station, cater for maintenance of the musical tools, produce a recording of our music, save for our business and then split the remaining money into five of us. From the money that i get i use it to take care of my siblings and pay for their education.

Loan Proposal

As the head of the musical band i thought it is wise if we had a uniform or some uniformity within us as we performed. We have been invited to an event next month and we want the uniforms before then and so we need a loan to buy them. A shirt which is printed our logo will cost 5 us dollars each and so we need 15 us dollars for the four of us. We will use the money we get from the performances to repay the loan and to save to buy more uniforms.
