About Me

My name is Daniel King Otoo, popularly known as "King, The Farmer". I was born into a family of 7. Both my parents were peasant farmers (crops and poultry ). Sometimes, apart from the climate change which affect our crops, the northern sector is known for cattle rearing; so the animals sometimes destroy our crops. Any farmer year that this happens, we would have to beg irrigation farmers for food so we could survive.
The hardship we went through wasn't easy at all but good being good we are part of the living today.
Despite these hardship, our parents sent us to school because they loved education and believed that, they would be relieved when we educated. Unfortunately, our parents were bitten by a mysterous snake on the farm in 2013 and they all died.
Being the eldest son and since there's no one to cater for us, I became the breadwinner of the family till today with the help of my small farms after I completed Junior High School a year before the demise of my parents.

My Business

I am a popular poultry farmer in the northern part of Ghana. People come from other parts for the region and the country to buy my birds.
I chose this business because, I developed interest for when I was helping my late father on the farm. This is what he did and was able to look after even though things were not smooth.
The costs I usual incur are veterinary drugs for the birds and their feed. These days these things are very expensive so spend a lot to nurture the birds.
I use the profits from the business in the following ways; reinvestment into the business, looking after my siblings in school and other poor individuals in the family.

Loan Proposal

I write to raise a loan of GHS 111.00 to buy poultry feed for my birds at a total cost of GHS 105.00 for three(3) bags (that's GHS 35.00 per bag). Most of my cocks and guinea fowls are grown so I want to get feed for the so they can add weight before the Easter festive.
I hereby humbly appeal to my lenders to assist me raise the above stated loan to able my birds gain weight before Easter so I make some money to increase my income.

Thank you.
