my name is asantewaah sarah from BIADIAN a sub town of berekum in the brong ahafo region of Ghana. I am 22 years of age. I started my basic education at ST. John’s primary school and subsequently to my junior high education over there. I am the last born of my parent, out of five and the only female child of my parent. After my junior high school education I continued to the senior high school at Kumasi of which I studied Agricultural science because my parent where farmer’s by profession and wanted to help them improve their productivity with the knowledge I will acquire from my education. I normally go to farm since that was our source of income as a family. After my senior high school I decided to cultivate my own farm so that I can make some money to support myself during my tertiary education, since we were having large family land. My hobby is reading and listening to music’s.
I am farmer, who cultivate majority of food crops such cassava, plantain, cocoyam, yam and also vegetables. Since my farming method is a mixed farm, I normally cultivate another land for the vegetables like carrot’s, cabbages and tomatoes. I started my farming immediately I completed my senior high school because I was having the zeal for the work. Am very respectful and have time for my customer’s based on that people’s normally comes to purchase my products more than I even expected. I make about $40 to $50 within a week thus the for the vegetable’s and with the other farm product like cassava , plantain, cocoyam and the yam I can make about $100 to $120 very three weeks. Now one of my preferred customers who normally comes from sunyani to buy my product told me, her customers has also been increased so I should expand my farm if I can, so that she can get all product she wants from me. Initially I didn’t want to, because am not physically strong to expand my farm. So I gave it a second taught and realize it will help me accumulate enough savings for my tertiary education and also get some to support my parents who are now growing old.
Thanks to zidisha as an organization and their lenders, please with all due respect, I will be grateful if zidisha and their lenders will help me raise a loan to buy pesticides to spray my vegetables and cultivate more land for additional crops. As the saying goes; there is more blessing in giving. And for what I know the little you will give to someone can turn his/her life around. I hope you will help me raise my loan to help my boost my farm and make savings to support my tertiary education. I normally make a profit of about $40 to $ 50 within a week thus my vegetable’s and make about $100 to $120 for the plantain, cocoyam, yam and the cassava within three weeks. I pledge to go by the terms and conditions of this organization in repayment. thank you.
