About Me

I am the administrator in a college. I noted with concern that many students in my country do not complete their secondary education. This is why I started a KCSE private candidates center also offering computer studies. In our center, we give our students a chance to complete their high school education and therefore proceed with college or university education. Besides these, I am happy I have created employment because I have three full time tutors and one secretary. I am therefore contributing towards steering our country's development. The business is doing well but can do better if I got financing to add more computers and more furniture.

My Business

We are an educational centre specifically providing Tuition in Sciences, Languages and Computer Studies. The current number of students is 20 and we expect the numbers to increase. Our students are the major source of income that offsets our monthly expenditure of about Ksh. 80000. Any time collections cannot meet these costs, I go to my personal sources to clear the balances. Currently, I am seeking a loan to increase furniture and add more computers so that I can accommodate more students and improve service delivery. There is increased need for the services we offer at our learning center and we are glad we are contributing to providing knowledge. Our students like the personal attention they get, the conducive learning environment and the career guidance we offer.

Loan Proposal

I greet you once again my dear friends on Zidisha. First receive my sincere thanks for the first loan you gave me which helped me buy more comfortable chairs for our college. Our students like them very much and they are very glad. Here is a URL to students in our class sitting on the new chairs: https://www.zidisha.org/images/uploadCommentCache/480x/cee7c77736ab5379b34c24c775fee263.jpg

I thank you again for the support.
In my current loan, I intend to raise about $588 to add more computers in our computer laboratory. Currently, we have only three computers in the computer laboratory and this makes our students strain when they have their Computer Studies Practicals. For example three students share one desktop computer and this hinders effective teaching. This is why I intend to use the next loan to buy five more computers so that we have a total of eight computers. I have already identified a place to buy them at a very subsidized rate from.

The offer is $120 per desktop computer. This is a good offer because the computers will come with TFT Screens as opposed to CRTs which consume a lot of power.
When we buy the computers, we are going to have highly effective computer training classes to our students because our target is a ratio of 1 student to 1 computer during any class session. Because computer training is a practical oriented subject, I believe the students will benefit a lot at the end.

I have committed to repaying $12 a week on Friday.

I look forward to your contribution to our computer lab. Help me have a Zidisha Funded Computer Laboratory in our Educational Center.

Thank you in advance.
