Mokenyeh is a name I derived from my father who died some ten years ago. I was trained by my mother who did well to sail me through secondary Education. It occurred to me to sell various kinds of goods and out of this is what I depend solely on. I love to sell and to gain profits,it also gives me the joy when I chat with different people. It has taken me over five years now in buying and selling. My children's education is solely depended on this since that is what I only have to buy food and provide for their Education. Their mother has been helpful and the profits realized from my sales is used to restock my shop. It is my dream that this business should flourish for me to pay my wards' s school fees so that they will be good citizens for my country, Ghana.
I sell general goods like sugar, milk, cooking oil, various can drinks, satchel water and many more. These goods are very essential because they are the best for my customers, customers request for these items frequently expecially the beverages. I chose this business because I was already into it and since my parents could not afford to paying my school fees I had to struggle in my own small way fend for myself and my family. I took a loan of Ghs1000 and after I completed paying I am left with a capital of about Ghc6000. Sales has been encouraging since Dormaa is a very busy town and I think that I enjoy the way and manner business moves in town.
As I have indicated earlier, I sell many things especially consumable goods. Some include rice, flour, sugar, tin tomatoes, cornfkakes ,baby diapers etc. I will buy ten bags of rice $21, twelve bags of flour for baking bread $23, three bags of sugar $17, five boxes of tin tomatoes $8. Six boxes of baby diapers $16.
