About Me

I am from Nairobi city in Kenya a place called Kibera slums. I grew up with my mother who was widowed when i was still young. I remember very little about my father. Since he died my mother started to sell illegal brews for our survival. I had to drop out of school in my final year in primary school because my mother was caught and arrested for selling illegal brews in the slums and so no one could pay for my school fees and take care of me. I moved to the Nairobi streets and started hawking with the little money that i found in my mother's bag of savings. The unique thing about the Kibera slums where i come from is the daily hustle of living in survival. Seeing another day is a true blessing and mercy from God. My hobby is dancing and singing. I used to sing in the school that i went.

My Business

I am a hawker and in my trolley i sell sweets, biscuits, groundnuts, drinking water, bottled juice and chewing gums. I walk from street to street and in all stages of vehicles making sales. This products that i sell are important because i bring them to reach of people, instead of walking all the way to a shop or supermarket to buy something small, i can just bring it to you. I did this business because i did not have many things to choose from because i am not well educated to get a job. Another reason is because i believe in having your own business rather than being employed. When i make good sales in the day i get profits of up to 5 us dollars and when the day doesn't have many sales i can make 1 us dollars. I save most of the money because i don't want to hire trolleys for my job anymore i want to buy mine. I use the rest of the money to pay for the police charges for my mother until she is released.

Loan Proposal

I am really hoping to be given this loan so that i can be able to buys good quality metallic trolley that costs 33 us dollars. I have been saving for it and adding the loan of 15 us dollars, i will be able to buy it. This will cut off the hiring costs and i will use that money to pay the loan and later put it to my savings after i clear the loan.
