i come from trans nzoia county a well known for agriculture activities especially maize production.am married and a mother of 3 children.i was also born and raised here in munyaka.i went to kapsara secondary school where by i completed my high school education but i did not do well in my exams which would qualify me to university.since my parent were farmers in which they were able to raise us up and pay our school fees,i got more interested in farming and when i got married i chose to invest in maize farming i started with a 1/4 acre and i have been able to expand my farming now to 7 acres since i sell 90% of my harvest and use the 10% for domestic use.i like attending field shows where i learn more on farming.
am a farmer whereby i grow maize in mass production and sell the to the cereal boards at good price and i also buy maize fro farmer to increase my stock to supply them to the cereals.maize farming is a well paying activities considering you take all the measures to protect your farm and plant.through this i have been able to earn good profits that i use to pay my children school fees, buy home equipment, fertilizers, maize seed and carry out the necessary activities in a farm.
i will use my loan to buy 10kg fertilizer for topdressing my maize in a portion where it had remained.this will ensure uniformity of my crops in growing and yield good harvest that will earn me good profit.
