My name is Emelia Donkor . I'm known and called DONK. Affter Senior High Education,I embarked on trading .I started selling chewing gum,toffees,matches and black polythene bags at the main lorry station. My target was to serve passengers who may travel around the municipality. I had accumulated some few monies so I hired a store and stocked it with milk,milo, satchel water, baby diapers,sugar,wahing and bathing soap and minerals like:coca-cola,malt,Fanta and so on. " Kwafie" is celebrated every two years in Dormaa Ahenkro and it is celebrated at the time when farmers had started harvesting their food crops.
I sell milk,milo,soap,toilet rolls and many others. I saw that these items would be useful tbecause when I was selling in smaller quantities for the passengers who where Because most of these item could be obtained from the big cities like Berekum, buyers prefer buying in larger quantities from Dormaa. I tried to sell things that people use daily. my products would a good supply for retailers especially on Tuesday's which is the municipal market. I started this business with. 100GH and now with the store, I have around 1000Gh as capital. I make a sale of about 100gh a day and even more on Tuesday's. I use part of the profit
Rice,sugar, flour,cornflakes, soap both washing and bathing,baby diapers etc are major items I have in my shop even though there are many others. I will buy seven bags of rice $12, ten bags of sugar $14, eight boxes of baby diapers $13, I will buy also into my shop three boxes of washing soap $10 and four boxes of bathing soap $14
